My Approach
As an African American, Native American licensed therapist with an education that intersects culture and human behavior my passion is to help diverse populations. I am a clinical supervisor with a wealth of knowledge and vast experience in supervising clinician’s working with domestic violence perpetrators, child abuse perpetrators, elder abuse perpetrators and high conflict parenting clients. However, my expertise is in marriage and family therapy where I have worked for many years with individuals, couples, children and families from all backgrounds.
My clinical experience includes facilitating hundreds of child abuse and domestic violence groups. I also work with dual diagnosed clients and those with additive disorders. Additionally, I help homeless mentally ill clients and those with extreme trauma using multimodal theory and techniques to assist them with reclaiming their resilience and wellbeing.
I strive to be a living role model for my clients, family, and friends. Therefore, I approach each of my clients with compassion and empathy, maintaining the professional boundaries necessary to keep even the most difficult cases on track throughout their treatment. Those suffering with personality or thought disorders receive extra consideration for their fragile state as we work towards improving their quality of life.

My life experience as a Black/Native American male has given me insight, intuition, and the desire to give back and help others. As such, I remain flexible and adapt to my clients needs. I can offer you quick solutions with brief therapy sessions or I can offer you a more tempered approach with longer therapy sessions where we work slowly together on exploring your own solutions that will help you grow as an individual.
Therapy works if you work it. Work with the JH Therapeutic team and see your possibilities unfold.
