Animal Abuse Program
Our Animal Abuse Program is the first professionally developed psychological intervention program for adults who have abused animals. This program is organized by stages of therapy to help participants establish accountability, clarify values related to animals, and teach self-management skills such as empathy, attachment, accommodation, reciprocity, and nurturance.

In our Animal Cruelty Prevention Class, we use a cognitive-behavioral approach with an emphasis on the client's need to acknowledge accountability for their behavior. It involves both assessment and treatment.
